Hello friends and sponsors, and happy, happy, New Year. Well friends it’s 2018, and what a world wind year, 2017 was. All the change we saw in the community birthed, a new beginning of some wonderful projects in the City of Detroit, State of Michigan, and United States. For instance, our wonderful new Q-Line in the Downtown Detroit area, made a wonderful splash. We also have a new, yet same; mayor Mike Duggan, and of course our new, yet same; City Council Person Scott Benson. You ask, "Reverend; why would you call them, new yet same?" Well, my response to you is: Detroit-ers are always ever hopeful, that our city government folks are willing to take a fresh approach to all problems when other methods fail. As such, I consider our current city government officials, as being new, yet same. Although they were in office as the incumbents, they are hopefully looking toward, a fresh approach; on all issues that require it. Praise The Lord, for government officials who can get the job done. Hallelujah!!! Next up, is the new stadium in Downtown Detroit; The Little Caesars Arena. The Little Caesars Arena is the new home of the Red Wings and The Pistons. Yeah!!! This I'm so excited about, Go Wings, Go Pistons. Can I say it again? Yeah!!!!!! Ok, ok, ok, we are true sports fans at the Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, we can't get enough of it. Praise The Lord. Of course we are very proud of the positive changes from 2017, and look forward to 2018 being just as great or better. Our focus for the year 2018 will be outlined in February, 2018; at which time we will announce our theme for the year of 2018. God is great, and thank him allowing us to become fantastic in whatever way he has allowed, to the amount he has signed off on. Remember; progressive, positive, change that supports liberty is good.
Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Also, don’t forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; and our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. Our scripture reading for the month of January, comes from the book of Leviticus, chapter 25, verse 10, which says: "Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan." Remember that freedom comes from truth, and freedom is liberty, as Jesus once said "the truth shall set you free," (John 8:32).

February 5, 2018
Hello fellow sponsors and friends, and happy February. Now that
February has approached us again, this year; we are happy to remember
Valentine’s Day. When I think of Valentine’s Day, I of course think of
love, lots, and lots of love. We often times say, would you be my
Valentine; to the one we love, or want to love. I’m always reminded at
this time of year; to remember the love The Lord of Host showed us. The rainbow, and it’s beautiful colors; is one of these constant reminders. The
rainbow, is God’s promise that he shall never destroy the Earth again; by
water. According to God’s promise in Genesis, chapter 9 verse 16, which
says: “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and
remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” With that being said, we have new theme this year of; “LIVE YOUR COLOR”. I often ask people what is your
favorite color? I normally get a range of responses from, black to
yellow, blue, and everything in between. Whatever your favorite color
is, allow this year’s theme “LIVE YOUR COLOR”; to be the reminder of
God’s love and goodness for us all. We’ve assigned a few color patterns
to represent various members in the modern day family, and to help you remember the importance of this year’s theme. Whatever you choose as your favorite color, remember to have some fun this year with color, and know The Lords love for us is so great, so “LIVE YOUR COLOR “.
Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as
prayer does truly change things. Also, don’t forget to send in your much
needed donations, as so many depend on them; and our goal is to help as
many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project.
Also, if you would like to send your monthly tithes and offerings, you may do so by following the instructions on the donations tab.
Our scripture reading for the month of February, comes from the book of Genesis, chapter 9 verse 13, which says: “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” Remember to shine bright in your color this year.

Hello friends, and sponsors; and happy April. I’m happy to report Easter 2018 was huge success, and all the smiles and warm wishes; made all the extra effort, we put forth this year in making Easter Baskets, worthwhile. We are excited to be through our March Madness celebrations as well, and would like to send a big congratulations out to the 2018 NCAA Champions; Villanova. We were of course; optimistic for Michigan, but in the end Villanova, proved to be the champs. Next year, however; we’re gonna give them a run for their own money. Now that March Madness and Easter has pasted, we have refocused our attention on our theme for the year “LIVE YOUR COLOR”! We at The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, were happy to chat with people regularly about the beauty that surrounds all the beautiful colors of God’s earth. On that note, I’m happy to report; I went by the community garden a few days ago, and the soil has been turned over, and planting is well under way. The community garden means so much to all those in our community, and we are certainly looking forward to seeing the beautiful colors come forth this year; as the crops come up. Remember, to be bold in your color choices this year, and let the glory of The Lord’s greatness; flow all around you. Praise be on to The Lord Of Host.

Hello friends and sponsors, happy, happy, May. Now that spring is in full swing, we see the evidence of; all of God’s goodness all around us. We are hopeful, of the spring and summer season, being the best we have known thus far. We will also provide parents with action items to help their children with other summertime activities, if a summer job is not a viable option. Our goal, of course; is to infuse as much summertime activities into the community to make this summer season as enjoyable, positive, and safe; for as many youth as possible. We are also focusing on programs that offer skilled trade training and summer educational/vocational training for the youth. We want the youth and the parents of the community to know, there are options for all children, other than sitting in front of a play station all day. Finally, we are recommending several free or low cost sport leagues and sport associations for the youth this summer. All in all, we expect the youth of the community to be quite busy this summer. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers through out the entire spring/summer season, and through the rest of this year. Praise the Lord.

Hello friends and sponsors, what a wonderful day it is today. Now that we have moved into August, I’d like to take moment; and thank all our readers, and well-wishers, who sent such good tidings during the week of the 4’Th of July. We truly did have a wonderful holiday. Of course, the month of August, wraps up the summer season for the children; who will be returning to school in early, September. We are so excited about the last month of summer, as many families are planning end of summer vacations. Some of the best times, I can recall as a child concerning summer time vacation, centers around the month of August. My wish, is for everyone to spend as much time, as they can, with their own loved ones. Remember, most farms are in full bloom in the month of August, and many of them except patrons to visit their farms for a small fee. When you arrive at the farm, you'll notice the fresh farm air engulfs your nostrils completely. If you like the idea of visiting a farm, feel free to contact a few in your local area, remember; some farms offer visitors the ability to pick fresh fruit and vegetables for a small fee. Whether, you like the idea of visiting a farm or not, just a make it a point to get out and have a great rest of this summer.

Hello friends and sponsors, and happy September. I have been hearing from several people around the country, about how elated they are for the kids to be going back to school this month, in lieu of the summer having come to an end. How exciting for the children, to be ready for school again this year. We have been chatting with local area parents, about where to find the best priced school supplies; and we are happy to provide a list to all parents that inquire. Many parents and grandparents have asked about several school systems in the area and across our great nation. We have put together a list of the top rated schools in Michigan and in the US, by state. If you have questions about what schools are rated highest in the country, please contact our office for additional information. Also, remember most school systems in the US, except preK students starting at around age 4, so remember to find a school district that will enroll your littlest, of little ones; that are of school age. If you have any questions, or need further assistance in understanding and learning the ropes of first time school students, or need to be directed to a school in your area for further assistance in the enrolling process, please give our office a call, and one of our staff persons will direct you to the school in your area. It is our hope and wish for all first time students, and parents of any first time student, to quickly and wonderfully get adjusted to the school life and environment. Of course, we also offer direction to any returning students, and parents of returning students, as well. With that being said, have a great 2018 through 2019 school year. Lastly, Happy Labor Day 2018.

October 5, 2018
Hello friends and sponsors, and welcome to the month of October. We love the month of October at The Shoes Saves Foundation, because; October means Octoberfest. When you think of Octoberfest, some of you may think of the German beer celebration; but for us at The Shoes Saves Foundation, Octoberfest means community. Octoberfest celebrates community and family in every way. Let’s do our best this Octoberfest 2018 to keep our thoughts on what Octoberfest truly stands for. So remember; and don't forget, about Octoberfest 2018: This October 1 through 31 is Octoberfest. Octoberfest focuses on community, and has a specific theme this year of "LIVE YOUR COLOR". We, The Shoes Saves Foundation staff, Management, and Sponsors, want to encourage our neighbors and community, to remember to look out for the safety of all those around us in the community this October; and all year long. This means, watching out for the kids who walk by in the morning going to the bus stop, or helping an elderly neighbor cross the street. Remember, to watch out for all unoccupied houses during the Halloween/Angels Night season as well. When we help each other; the community grows and flourishes. At the end of Octoberfest; we end the month with a celebration of nature’s goodness for the season changes, as fall has begun. Remember, our community focus of " LIVE YOUR COLOR ", and together we can make a difference. We are so excited about this October season, and want to encourage everyone in the community to have a wonderful and safe October.

Celebrate the Festival of in gathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.” Don’t to forget to celebrate Octoberfest this 2018 as we approach the end of the year of 2018, because our festival and celebration is blessed by The Lord of Host, The Lord God Almighty, himself. Praise The Lord.

November 5, 2018
Hello friends and sponsors. We are happy to be back chatting with you again. This month we welcome the season changes, as the leaves are changing colors, and nature is displaying a wonderful variety of beautiful colors as well. This month we will also be celebrating Thanksgiving. When we think of Thanksgiving we think of a wonderful group of people gathered together to eat turkey, but the true meaning of Thanksgiving deals with survival, peace, and tolerance. The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621, after a group of English Protestants, who relocated to Holland in search of religious freedom, decided to relocate again, to the new world; or what we now refer to as the United States of America. The settlers arrived at Cape Cod in 1621, where they met, and lived alongside of The Native Americans. The Native Americans taught The Settlers how to plant corn, squash, and tend their fields. The Settlers and the Native Americans then created treaties to protect themselves from other warring tribes. In the fall of 1621 The Settlers and the Native Americans, had a three-day feast, and that event became the first Thanksgiving. We at The Shoes Saves Foundation, hope your Thanksgiving 2018, is full of happiness, peace, love, and understanding. Praise The Lord.
Don’t forget to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation; as prayer does truly change things. Also, don’t forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; and our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. Also, if you would like to send in your monthly tithes and offerings, you may do so by following the instructions on the donations tab. Our scripture reading for the month of November, comes from the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter: 10, verses: 19, which says: “A feast is made for laughter, wine makes life merry, and money is the answer for everything.” Remember to be merry, and love one another this holiday season; 2018.

through any situation:
Lord Elohim, help us through this time and bring us to our correct and
rightful place. Remove all demonic forces from around us and those who
heed their call. You are righteous and just, and a guiding force through
darkness. We also ask you to cleanse and purify all that we eat and
drink, on a daily basis. Lord God of all the heavens and earth, I
believe in my heart that Jesus is the son of God, and confess with my
own mouth: Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Jehovah God, you answer
the prayers of those who ask and call on you in the name of the Messiah.
Bless us with right standing Lord, bless us with health and strength
Lord, and help us meet all requirements of our own daily existence.

December 5, 2018
Greetings Friends and Sponsors, and happy December. I'd like to start off by saying, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, and your loved ones. Each year in the month of December, I tell you all; what the true meaning of Christmas is, and how Christmas is really about the birth of Christ. This year,
I decided to just write a letter to The Lord of Host, dealing with my thoughts about The Depths of The Pit of Hell, as it is my prayer, that we can all make a fresh start for the new year approaching of 2019. It is also my sincere hope, that those who love The Lord of Host, and his kingdom; will be lifted from The Depths. With that being said, Lord of Host, in the name of Jesus, please hear my concepts and petitions today. From Reverend Joi Karla Hubert
Concepts and Petitions: Hell, The Depths, The Pit
Lord, I know that Hell consist of The Depths, and The Depths consist of The Pit. When I say Hell No, I mean that, as I call upon the true meaning of Christmas, for The Christ made the sacrifice to rescue all those that truly believe; from The Depths of The Pit of Hell. Psalms 86:13 “The Lord rescued me from The Depths and The Realm of The Dead.” Psalms 30:1, “The Lord rescued me from The Depths, and did not let my enemies gloat over me.” I also know not to anger you Lord, because as you can rescue, you can also punish. You can remove from The Depths of The Pit of Hell, and or you can imprison in The Depths of The Pit of Hell. Psalms 88:6, “He has put me in The Lowest Pit in The Darkest Depths.” When I’m in a pit, I have no strength Lord, I’m as weak as a new born baby, I can’t help myself, I can’t improve, I can’t walk or talk, I’m completely helpless, and nearly dead. Psalms 88:4, “I’m without strength in a pit.” Lord, I will stop being wicked, full of decay, bloodthirsty, and which The Depths of The Pit of Hell, is reserved for. Psalms 55:23, “The wicked is in The Pit, and bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out their days.” I will cook and clean all day Lord, to clean up my ways, with no hesitation or shame. I say cook, because that’s what I like to do, and an idol mind is the devil’s work shop; so I promise to stay busy. I also say clean, because cleanliness, is next to Godliness; so I’ll get close to you, anyway I can. In short Lord, I know you did not spare even the angels that sinned, so I know what my fate is, if I don’t get it together. 2 Peter 2:4, “For God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but sent to Hell.” Lord I know Hell is a true place of existence, and it is my goal to avoid hell; and all that takes place there. Praise you Lord for giving me another chance, no matter what I have done in this past year. Thank you Lord for lifting me out of The Depths, of The Pit of Hell. Psalms 103:4, “He redeems from The Pit.” Psalms 40:2, “He lifts me out of The Slimy Pit.” Forgive me Lord, in The name of Jesus, if I have offended you in any way; whether I did it deliberately or accidentally. Finally, I intercede for those who need your help to get out of Depths, assuming they are sincere; and for your kingdom Lord. In The name of Jesus, The Messiah. Amen and Amen. Thank you Lord, Reverend Joi.

Our scripture reading for the month of December, comes from the book of Psalms, chapter: 139, verse: 8, which says: “If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” Remember, The Lord is able to rescue you from all persons, places, or things; and there is no place, where he cannot get to you. Praise The Lord.
