Hello friends, and sponsors, and happy, happy, August 2025. The month of August, of course, indicates summer is soon approaching its end, however; there are yet a few more weeks of summer left, and boy, are we ready to make the most of it. There is, just enough time left, to make a huge end of season extravaganza, and with Labor Day fast approaching, the holiday is totally on our side. With that being said, let’s make it the best Labor Day season ever. Also, don’t forget, the back to school sales, going on all over the country. Remember, to check all your own, local area newspapers, and media outlets, for local, and national chain retailer-mark downs, to make sure; the small ones, and big ones, are ready to return to school, for the new school year. Finally, let’s focus our attention on the last quarter of the year, which means, Octoberfest 2025. Here at The Shoes Saves Foundation Ministries, Octoberfest, is not a drinking holiday, but a celebration of community, and this Octoberfest 2025, we have a specific theme of: “The winner’s circle is for us.” Octoberfest celebrates community, and family, in every way. Let’s do our best this Octoberfest 2025, to keep our thoughts on what Octoberfest truly stands for, so remember; and don't forget, about Octoberfest 2025. Octoberfest is celebrated from 10/01/25 through 10/31/25. Since Octoberfest focuses on community, and has a specific theme this year of, "The winner’s circle is for us", we, The Shoes Saves Foundation Staff, Management, and Sponsors, want to encourage our neighbors, and community, to remember, to look out for the safety of all those around us in the community this October; and all year long. This means, watching out for the kids who walk by in the morning going to the bus stop, or helping an elderly neighbor cross the street. Remember, to watch out for all unoccupied houses during the Halloween/Angels Night season, as well. When we help each other; the community grows and flourishes. At the end of Octoberfest; we end the month with a celebration of nature’s goodness, while also celebrating the changes in the season, as fall has begun. Remember, our community focus of, "The winner’s circle is for us", and together, we can make a difference.
Don't forget; to keep us in prayer, at The Shoes Saves Foundation, as prayer does truly change things. Also, don't forget to send in your much needed donations, as so many depend on them; because our goal is to help as many as we can, while also continuing our building renovation project. Praise The Lord, our scripture reading for the month of August, comes from the book of Ezekiel, chapter 17, verses 3-8, which says:
“Thus says the Lord God:
A great eagle with large wings and long pinions,
Full of feathers of various colors,
Came to Lebanon
And took from the cedar the highest branch.
He cropped off its topmost young twig
And carried it to a land of trade;
He set it in a city of merchants.
Then he took some of the seed of the land
And planted it in a fertile field;
He placed it by abundant waters
And set it like a willow tree. And it grew and became a spreading vine of low stature;
Its branches turned toward him,
But its roots were under it.
So it became a vine,
Brought forth branches,
And put forth shoots.
But there was another great eagle with large wings and many feathers;
And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him,
And stretched its branches toward him,
From the garden terrace where it had been planted,
That he might water it.
It was planted in good soil by many waters,
To bring forth branches, bear fruit,
And become a majestic vine.”
Although, shopping is sometimes a pain, The Lord of Host can even make your own interaction with merchants, a beautiful experience; like a beautiful vine, full of fantastic branches. Praise The Lord, hallelujah. Again, praise The Lord, Elohim, Jehovah God.
Remember, to celebrate God’s-Kingdom, all month, all year, every year, and this very day.
Remember, God is good.
